Room in Roof Insulation
What is Room In Roof (RIR) Insulation?
Room in roof insulation (RIR) is used to insulate a loft that has been converted into a room and replaces the standard loft insulation normally seen in an unconverted space.
Most of the heat loss in a property is lost through the roof, therefore room in roof insulation is essential to save energy and reduce bills if you have a converted loft space. Not only does room in roof insulation prevent overall heat loss from the property through the roof, it also makes the converted loft space a more comfortable bedroom or office. This could potentially increase the value of your property while saving you money on your bills.
How can I get Room in Roof Insulation (RIR) for free?
If your property has an energy performance rating (EPR) of D or below and has a room in the roof that is uninsulated, you could qualify for a free room in roof insulation grant through ECO4 or GBIS.
